Autumn 2013

Heritage chic is the hottest style of this season. Think tweed blazers with a contrast silk lining to add a modern twist. Style your blazer with a smart blouse and a waffle textured skater skirt for instant heritage country chic. Add a pair of chunky knit tights and ankle boots to keep you cosy and fashionable. As well as tweed, tartan is another pattern this season making an appearance, in particular the classic kilt style skirt.

There is big news for bags this season as rucksacks make a long anticipated comeback. After being classed as only something a rambler or a geek would carry, rucksacks are now being spotted in the most fashionable stores around and are set to soar in popularity this season.

Continuing with the heritage theme, shoes this season are also being inspired by traditional styles of loafers and brogues which are not only smart and fashionable but are also kind to your feet so be sure to pick up a pair!

Spring 2013

This spring, when the weather finally warms up, is set to be full of fun and flirty fashion. Pastel shades are always hot at this time of year and this year will be no exception. Set off your pastels with a pop of bright colour. Try a bright chiffon coral top paired with baby blue cropped jeans or jeggings. Alternatively opt for pastels on top with a mint or lilac asymmetric top teamed with white or navy bottoms.

Light wash denim will be hot this season. Go for denim jackets while it’s still chilly outside and switch to denim shorts when the sun comes out! Skirts will also be popular in both mini and midi styles. Lace, chiffon and cute prints look great on skirts paired with a sheer cream blouse.

Structure and tailoring is still hot. Experiment with skinny chinos in pastel shades with a contrasting skinny belt. Blazers can be worn casual or smart and set this look off perfectly.

Nothing says ‘spring’ like a staple floral dress, whether it be short and flirty or long and flowing, your wardrobe wouldn’t be complete without one! Update yours with some delicate jewellery and a statement bag. As for accessories this season, structured holdall bags look great in block colours and they’re big enough for all your daily essentials.
